How to use this chart
Record your carry distance โ how far the ball travels through the air โ not total distance including roll. All distances should be measured on a calm day with a launch monitor or accurate GPS.
- Fill in full swing carry for every club
- Record three wedge distances: full, three-quarter and half swing
- Note your swing speed โ distances will shift as you grow
- Review and update every 4โ6 months
- Print a copy for your bag and refer to it on every approach shot
Wedges โ record three swing speeds
Key scoring zone gaps โ check these carefully
Aim for gaps of 10โ15 yards between each club. A gap larger than 20 yards is a scoring hole โ consider adding a club to fill it. A gap smaller than 8 yards means two clubs are doing the same job.
Course management notes
Record anything that affects your decision-making on the course โ preferred miss direction, comfort distances, clubs to avoid under pressure.
